Restoration and Repair

Some properties already have beautiful stained glass and it can be heartbreaking if it becomes damaged. The door panel and surround in fig 5 are original. The lower half of the door panel was badly smashed during an attempted break in, a common occurrence. We are often able to repair and restore on site. However in this case the whole panel was removed to be restored on the bench using like for like from our extensive range of salvaged glass. In this case, BS6262 1994 dictated that safety standard glass was used for the company glaze, which retained as a secondary glaze dispense with the need for unsightly metal bars and provide the benefits of both sound and heat insulation, together with unbeatable re-enforcement and security.
